we were
slick together

made a child
perfect creature

but time passed
it grew
     to confound
surpass our
expectations

became adult
    we had to leave
kind of
a sad
   goodbye

leave him
a world fucked up
by our generation

trouble with us,
those like us
             after a while
we forget
to care
