I lie at peace

and I lie
barefaced

exaggerate everything
make stuff up
the devil in me
determined to
at least
a bit different, sow
doubt, make interesting

for they are saints
you know and pledged
to servepredictable the truth

(and so cliched) we
hear and hear
and hear

again and again and
again from
heavenly them.
