HALLOWEEN POEMS,

HALLOWEEN POEMS

you gave me a kiss on Halloween
left your lips
and some
of your
fangs
behind

and stuff embedded
in my neck

and
formula for antidote
to all that killer venom

****

HEAVY

the page is heavy
increasing its gravity

pulling me in
as collapse it does
under its
own mass

smears me across
every word and
the spaces
between them

as
   cosmic horror
goes tomato sauce

****
OR TREAT OR TRICK OR
NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT

Was assembling
         this puzzle of a thing
that comes in
pieces and
with screws and

an unholy manual
which had
me dumbfounded until
you
left me
a message on the wall
materializing right
in front
of me

explaining how
through the magic of
Halloween

the dark expertise and
forbidden resources
will make it
a point of
necessity that
they out of nowhere appear

you knocked
at the door
     foraging for sweets

you were so
kind to
help
           providing a neat
solution as we
put our
heads together

realizing all
     those missing pieces
and the fuel
to power
them

were about to present themselves
             do their level best
