pastoral
or comic
thought not the philosophical
consequences thereof
because we don’t
do philosophy
and there we were
all the world a stage, indeed
a stage all
that was left
of our world
a solid-sailing trusty bark
as the waves, the
storm
made the moment real
and did sweep away
